Aime is about twenty kilometres from the high altitude resorts of La Plagne. The town, with its 2,500 inhabitants, has plenty of shops and services, so you will want for nothing during your stay.
Located on the Montchavin road, the village of Montorlin retains its authentic charm while offering quick access to the slopes of La Plagne ski area.
The little village of Valezan on Le Versant du Soleil will definitely warm the hearts of all those who love authenticity.
To reach the high altitude resorts of La Plagne you will have to pass through Macot. The village itself is tucked away in the hollows of the mountain. Its houses and its characteristic appearance provide a dramatic change of scenery. On the road to La Plagne, you can’t help but notice these hamlets with their distinctive chalets and traditional houses.
On the Versant du Soleil, 2 kilometres from Aime, you will find Villaroland and its one hundred or so inhabitants, who will happily welcome you to their warm and friendly village.
A little village just a few kilometres from Aime, Centron is bordered by the Isère river, a haven for white water lovers. In the wintertime, you can enjoy the vast range of winter sports and activities in the nearby ski area of La Plagne.
Perched 1,250 metres above sea level on the Versant du Soleil, the village of Granier faces La Plagne ski area and overlooks the Tarentaise valley, providing magnificent panoramic views and a generous helping of sunshine.
La Roche / Plangagnant
A few kilometres from Plagne 1800, La Roche attracts not only nature lovers, but also thrill seekers who come here, from mid-December to mid-March, to test their nerve on the Olympic Bobsleigh run. Access to the ski area from La Roche (6-seater chairlift).
On the road that leads from Aime to Bourg St Maurice, you can’t miss the village of Bellentre with its distinctive onion-shaped bell tower.
